This year’s Special Olympics National Summer Games were held in St. Gallen from 16 to 19 June 2022. Numerous athletes with intellectual disabilities gave their all and fought tirelessly for medals in 14 sports.

Thanks to the efforts of the «Medalcrew», which consisted of around 25 volunteers on Friday, 19 June, the performance of the athletes was duly honored and celebrated. More than 100 award ceremonies were held in the various athletic disciplines such as long jump and 1,500 meters, and definitely represented the emotional highlight of these summer games. And one thing is clear: each and every participant unquestionably won our hearts.
