  For almost 30 years, Circo Fortuna has been much more than an association: we are a driver of social change, an educational reference point, and a place where children, young people, and families discover the transformative power of circus arts. Every summer, over 300 participants have unique experiences that culminate in the creation of final shows, where the values of collaboration and creativity, lived during the camp days, are expressed. The project aims to ensure access for families in difficulty, children in foster care, and young people with social challenges or mild disabilities. We are therefore looking for volunteers who can provide concrete help in setting up the summer camp, offering in return the opportunity to attend an evening show.

  With its 105 hectares, the Neeracherried is one of the last large lowland moors in Switzerland and is a nationally significant protected area. It provides valuable habitat for countless birds, plants, amphibians, reptiles, and small animals—and also serves as a resting place for migratory birds, a winter refuge, and a breeding ground for rare species. More than 450 plant species have been recorded here. However, these populations are threatened by problematic and invasive non-native plants. Without protective measures, these so-called neophytes, such as goldenrod, can completely wipe out less competitive species (e.g., orchids). Regular mowing of the meadows is not enough. Only pulling out these plants along with their roots is effective enough and makes a valuable contribution to preserving biodiversity. For this, we rely on active support.

  SINGA is dedicated to providing people with refugee and migrant backgrounds with access to knowledge and entrepreneurial opportunities. We guide people every step of the way on the path to independence with programs tailored to each phase of building a business – from coming up with ideas to starting and growing a business. Most participants in our programs are highly qualified holders of F, S and B permits. About 60% are women and 80% are parents who face major barriers to finding work in the Swiss labor market. Many have already spent years looking for the right job without success, or they’re stuck in roles that don’t match their skills – even though they were experienced professionals or business owners back home. As a volunteer at SINGA, you’ll have the opportunity to assist these dedicated individuals on their journey – by mentoring them, connecting them with professionals or offering practical help with daily life. You’ll be helping talented individuals unlock their skills and open up new opportunities for them.

  During the pre-Christmas season, your voluntary commitment makes a particularly meaningful contribution. You support our team by operating and monitoring the packaging machine used to carefully wrap Christmas cookies individually. Each year, around 150,000 cookies are packaged in this way, and thanks to your help, they reach customers on time and bring joy to many. Your engagement goes far beyond practical support. As a socially oriented organisation, we place strong emphasis on inclusion, respect and collaboration. You will work alongside people with cognitive disabilities in a respectful and supportive environment and actively contribute to an inclusive working world. Especially during the busy pre-Christmas period, your involvement helps to ease daily operations and makes social participation tangible.   incluso is looking for volunteers with professional experience (mentors) to work with migrants (mentees). The aim of the project is to promote equal opportunities in the Swiss apprenticeship market for young people from migrant backgrounds – especially those who have recently immigrated to Switzerland. We organize tandems who work together over the course of a school year. There is an ever-increasing set of demands placed on school leavers as they transition to the job market. They need to be well connected, understand the complex Swiss education system and be confident in their own abilities. Young people from migrant backgrounds face greater hurdles in this process and often have fewer resources at their disposal.

  The Living Museum Zurich is a nonprofit organization and an inclusive studio for people with or without mental health issues. The focus is on creative expression, mutual respect and community participation. This summer, the Living Museum Zurich is moving its studio from Altstetten to Witikon. To ensure the move is well organized and runs smoothly, we're looking for dedicated volunteers to help. As part of this volunteer community project, you’ll help pack, pad and label materials, as well as unpack and set up the new studio. You’ll not have to carry heavy boxes or perform other traditional moving tasks. You’ll be part of a supportive team making sure everything is safely and properly set up at the new site.
