  We empower youth—both refugees and locals—through Social Tech and GenAI. In April 2026, we are excited to welcome Jamy Wheless, animator for Star Wars and Hulk, for an exclusive week of events in Lausanne. Highlights include the "Rendez-vous with Jamy" Masterclasses and a four-day youth bootcamp. As a volunteer, you will play a key technical and logistical role in supporting 20 young talents. Your responsibilities will include sourcing free laptops, providing on-site troubleshooting and English-French translation during the bootcamp, and securing high-tech prizes for the student competition. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate honesty, integrity, proactivity, and accountability. In return, you will receive a work certificate and a valuable boost to your CV through this meaningful NGO experience.

  Experience a nature-packed week. The forest project week for adults is aimed at forest enthusiasts who want to lend a hand, actively shape the forest and learn a lot about the natural environment in the process. Under the expert guidance of forestry professionals, you will work in small groups at exciting locations that change every day. Whether it’s hand-felling with traditional tools such as a planer-tooth saw, building and maintaining paths, caring for the young forest or planting trees for the future – every task strengthens the forest in the long term and gives you a deeper understanding of its importance. There’s a special focus on species knowledge and biodiversity: You will learn about different plant and animal species, discover how diverse life in the forest is and how important it is to preserve this diversity for a stable ecosystem. Through targeted observations and practical activities, you will become aware of the importance of biodiversity and can apply your knowledge directly on site. This week offers authentic insight into forestry work, promotes an understanding of ecological relationships and raises awareness of the sustainable use of our environment. Together, we shape the forest and strengthen it for tomorrow.

  Accompany a Refugee / Migrant during their Internship: Powercoders is a work integration program for refugees and migrants. We offer a 3-month coding bootcamp, followed by a 6-12 month internship in an IT company or IT department. To support the participants in making their internship a success, all of them are accompanied by a volunteer Job Coach. The Job Coach meets the coachee regularly and supports him/her in reaching their goals. The Job Coach also joins monthly meetings at the company and supports the coachee in his/her social and professional integration. Job Coaches can be based anywhere in the Romandie or Deutschschweiz.

  SINGA is dedicated to providing people with refugee and migrant backgrounds with access to knowledge and entrepreneurial opportunities. We guide people every step of the way on the path to independence with programs tailored to each phase of building a business – from coming up with ideas to starting and growing a business. Most participants in our programs are highly qualified holders of F, S and B permits. About 60% are women and 80% are parents who face major barriers to finding work in the Swiss labor market. Many have already spent years looking for the right job without success, or they’re stuck in roles that don’t match their skills – even though they were experienced professionals or business owners back home. As a volunteer at SINGA, you’ll have the opportunity to assist these dedicated individuals on their journey – by mentoring them, connecting them with professionals or offering practical help with daily life. You’ll be helping talented individuals unlock their skills and open up new opportunities for them.
