Are you looking for meaningful volunteer work with real social impact? Do you enjoy supporting, listening, and sharing your professional experience?

Join DuoL as a volunteer mentor and support a job seeker aged 45+ on their journey back to work. Through a flexible 6‑month mentoring program, you help enhance employability, build confidence, and open new career perspectives.

Make a difference through mentoring, social engagement, and volunteering in Switzerland.

Duration:

A 6-month commitment with a minimum of two meetings per month. All exchanges are confidential, and no written reports are required.

Location:

The first meeting takes place in person in Lausanne (Beaulieu). Afterwards, meetings are flexible and arranged freely between the mentor and the job seeker.

How it will work:

  • Register on the DuoL website (https://duol.ch/formulaire-mentor/)
  • Let’s get to know each other during an initial interview and confirm our collaboration.
  • We will propose a person for you to support.
  • Meet your mentee during a first three-party meeting at DuoL with the assigned coordinator.
  • Start your 6-month mentoring journey. Connect, exchange, and share!
  • At the end of the 6 months, we organize a closing meeting to reflect and conclude the experience together.

Introduction:

During the initial interview, we get to know each other and introduce DuoL. After registering, you will also receive our mentoring guide.

Support:

Throughout the program, a DuoL coordinator follows the mentoring remotely and is available for any questions or support needs.

Tasks:

Commit over a period of 6 months to support a job seeker by helping them highlight their experience, build confidence, explore new perspectives, and ultimately regain stable and fulfilling employment.

  • Commit to a duration of 6 months
  • Be open-minded, attentive, and available, offering a neutral and supportive perspective

DuoL

Since 2019, the DuoL Association has been committed to supporting the employability of job seekers aged 45+ and helping them reintegrate sustainably into the labor market.
To achieve this, DuoL offers a free 6‑month mentoring program that connects a job seeker aged 45+ with an experienced mentor who is active in the labor market. This exchange creates a space to share knowledge, explore new perspectives, and develop fresh ideas.
