The Consult & Connect is a unique opportunity to step outside your day-to-day role and put your professional skills to work as volunteer for something truly meaningful. In just half a day, you will sit side by side with inspiring entrepreneurs with refugee or migrant experience, driven individuals who have shown remarkable resilience and ambition, and support them to tackle real, concrete business challenges. The goal is simple: leave them with actionable recommendations they can implement right away.

Duration:

  • One afternoon, from 13:30 to 17:30
  • The date depends on the availability of your or your team as it’s a co-construction with your company.
  • The event can only be organise if at least 5 employees are avaiable to join at the same time.

Location:

  • Your company provides a room to host 10 to 15 people to organise the event.
  • Your company also provides either an on-site lunch before the event OR a light apéro after the event OR some drinks and snacks for breaks for the informal networking that is planned during the session.

How it will work:

One week before the event, you will need to confirm to SINGA the list of employees / colleagues that will be present at the session, their role in the company as well as 1-2 skills they have to support the participants, so we can confirm the attendance and final number of participants from SINGA side.

Introduction:

You will be matched with entrepreneurs based on where your expertise can make the greatest difference: whether that is in business strategy, marketing, finance, partnerships, or beyond. It is hands-on, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding.

Support:

Before the event, you will receive a short list and overview of the projects that will be present during the session and their challenge as well as the schedule of the session.

During the event, SINGA facilitates the whole session for the volunteers. Volunteers will be asked to sign a NDA. Volunteers are not exepected to bring anything for the event, other than maybe their laptop if needed. Time is given at the end of the event to network and have a more informal set up.

Tasks:

  • Hear short elevator pitches from participants
  • Support in a 1:1 setting 1-2 projects during the afternoon with feedback, depending on your expertise.

What you'll need:

  • You have an interest in entrepreneurship and inclusion and a constructive attitude: those are the most crucial aspects.
  • You are expected to share your skills or knowledge with an entrpereneur depending on what sector you can provide expertise: financial planning, communication of marketing, HR, etc..

Costs:

  • Your company provides a room to host 10 to 15 people to organise the event.
  • Your company also provides either an on-site lunch before the event OR a light apéro after the event OR some drinks and snacks for breaks for the informal networking that is planned during the session.
Unser Projektpartner:
SINGA Switzerland
