Successful renaturation at Mattli Antoniushaus!
After a welcome of coffee and croissants for the five volunteers and a short talk about the house and its history, the day’s work began.
Under the expert guidance of the Head of Technical Services, shrubs were trimmed, grassland cut and gravel spread in the parking lot. A trench was also dug ready for the installation of a new information board. During the lunch breaks, the participants were able to recharge their batteries and rest their muscles. The day’s work was celebrated at the concluding drinks reception at which there was laughter, discussion and plenty of liquid refreshment, as well as delicious ice cream to help everyone cool off.
Our heartfelt thanks to the women and men who weeded, raked, dug and shoveled in temperatures over 30°C. After the hard work, they made their way home with tired bones and sore muscles, but also with a smile on their faces.
