Event Organizer at Eden-Well

Duration:

• 4h onsite in Lausanne every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month
• Need to commit for at least for one Sunday per month

Location:

• Av. Édouard Dapples 2 bis, 1006 Lausanne

How it will work:

• We have workshops every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, starting at 5PM. A workshop lasts between 1h and 1.5h. Together with some ice-breakers with students, apero and life lessons section, the entire program finishes around 7PM.
• Coordination of flyer design, advertisements, supporting the instructor and assistants, and organizing a small apero. You don't need to find the instructor for the day, that's the duty of Project Manager.
• The event organizer is always on-site, supporting the instructor with anything needed from the administrative side (room setup, projector, sharing materials with participants, etc.). It also includes preparing the place, and ensuring everything is in order at the end.

Introduction:

• A prospective event organizer needs to send us a short message about his/her previous experience in event organization. We are interested to see if the candidate can effectively communicate across multiple parties so that all the participants can enjoy their workshop experience.
• We will then discuss with the candidates about the availabilities, and introduce the volunteers to our center. No prior formal training is needed.

Support:

• The project manager will provide all the needed support. For the first workshop, the project manager will be on-site to introduce the event organizer into all the practicalities.
• The project manager provides to the event organizer all the relevant contacts, marketing channels, flyer templates, and Eden-Well banner and T-shirts.

Tasks:

• Event planner: Ensure smooth workshop execution, from marketing and syncing between all the relevant parties to managing the apero and the space. You are responsible for all logistics, schedule and overall coordination.
• Master of Ceremony: your task is to ensure congenial atmosphere for everyone. You are a big part of whether youth come again and whether they will invite their friends.
