Volunteering on the Weerd-Fischergrien
Kleindöttigen / Böttstein (AG)
25.09.2025
Environment
The Weerd-Fischergrien is a floodplain of national importance characterized by open areas with ponds.
In addition to rare plants, invasive neophytes also grow here, including imported plant species such as the one-year fleabane. Some of these species can spread rapidly and cause native, non-competitive species to disappear. To combat this problem effectively, they must be removed together with the root before they can seed.
Thank you in advance for your support! Volunteers will be rewarded with a snack and a 30-minute guided tour of the BirdLife nature center at the Klingnauer reservoir.
