This workshop is an employee activity aimed at increasing employee engagement and is an ideal team-building event. It invites employees to immerse themselves in Make-A-Wish’s mission and experience an inspiring journey by collaboratively designing various elements of a child’s wish journey.
The workshop strengthens key interpersonal skills such as teamwork, creativity and problem-solving abilities. It connects and engages employees around a common cause, a mission and a goal. The workshop is tailored to the needs of the company, and Make-A-Wish provides communication plans before and after the event to keep the spirit of the wish alive.
There are a thousand reasons to volunteer, but at Make-A-Wish they all come down to one thing: rekindling the hope in a child’s eyes – a hope they so desperately need. For volunteers, it’s the knowledge of having participated in something bigger than themselves.

Duration:

Flexible, from 3 hours to 1 day, depending on availability

Location:

Switzerland-wide

How it will work:

After a joint video call with the responsible parties, in which the design, needs, scope and the company or team’s availability are discussed, a date is set for the workshop.

A fundraising campaign can be organized to reduce the cost of the workshop. This can either take place on the same day as the workshop or afterwards. The participants have free rein in the design – which requires creativity, cooperation and teamwork.

Introduction:

At the location on the day of the workshop

Support:

At the location on the day of the workshop by Make-A-Wish caregivers.

Tasks:

Joint planning of a dream trip for a specific child (while respecting the child’s privacy and data protection rules) with the option of a fundraising campaign for the specific wish.

There are a thousand reasons to volunteer, but at Make-A-Wish they all come down to one thing: rekindling the hope in a child’s eyes – a hope they so desperately need. For volunteers, it’s the knowledge of having participated in something bigger than themselves.

Our project partner:
Make-A-Wish Switzerland & Liechtenstein

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Switzerland and Liechtenstein is a charitable foundation and is supervised by the Federal Department of Home Affairs. It was founded in 2003 with the mission of fulfilling the most heartfelt wishes of critically ill children. Its beneficiaries are children aged between 3 and 18 who live in or are cared for in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Since its foundation, this Swiss organization has already fulfilled over 950 wishes. Our efforts give seriously ill children hope and courage, as well as many happy moments that offer an escape from their difficult everyday lives. Wishes are fulfilled together with the child’s loved ones, supporting and encouraging both the child and those closest to them.
