- We recommend travelling to Hagenbuch ZH, Dorf by public transportation. Parking is available on site.
How it will work:
- Meet in the morning; walk together to the nearby site in Eggholz
- A brief introduction to the Eggholz wood, its importance for biodiversity and the work to be done
- Hands-on maintenance work using scythes, rakes and pitchforks under expert guidance
- Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or outdoors around a campfire.
- Discover in-depth insights into the origins, evolution and ecological importance of the Eggholz woods
- Joint wrap-up with visible results and a sense of accomplishment
Introduction:
An expert will guide you through the process onsite, explaining each step and answering your questions.
Support:
An expert in the field and, depending on the size of the team, an experienced team leader will be there to support, guide and work alongside your team.
Tasks:
- Rake up cuttings
- Remove unwanted shrubs and combat invasive plant species
- Build structures, like creating piles of branches
What you'll need:
- No prior experience is required.
- The work takes place outdoors and involves physical exertion.
- Activities can be adapted to different fitness levels.
Note:
- Wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather
- Please bring your own water bottle
- Catering is the responsibility of your company, but we are happy to assist with the arrangements
- Participants are responsible for their own insurance
The assignment can be completed on any day of your choice between 8 June and 24 July 2026.
