Rakes, mattocks and saws instead of the usual work routine: In this corporate volunteering project, teams take part in hands-on volunteer work to protect valuable peatlands in Niederhasli. This practical nature assignment combines meaningful engagement with teamwork and an outdoor experience.

Lake Mettmenhasli is home to one of the last remaining peatlands in Switzerland. As a vital habitat for rare plant and animal species and an important carbon sink, it plays a key role in biodiversity and climate protection. Together, volunteers rake, carry and collect cut material to keep the peatland open and maintain its unique ecosystem.

During the assignment, participants learn the basics of peatland conservation, gain insights into ecological processes and experience how targeted, physical work helps protect sensitive ecosystems in the long term.
