Scythes, rakes and muscle power instead of the usual daily grind. Would you like to inspire your team to join an adventure and promote team spirit and practical nature conservation?
The Binz is a special nature reserve in the middle of Zurich – once clay pits, it is now a small paradise for frogs, birds and heat-loving plants. To keep it croaking, fluttering and blooming, volunteers are needed.
Together with your team, we’ll cut back reeds and maintain the forest edge to create a habitat. Register now for a date – we look forward to making a difference together with your team!
Duration:
- Day assignment from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by arrangement
Location:
- Meeting point: Binz Center bus stop, 8045 Zurich
- From the meeting point, it’s a 3-minute walk to the nature reserve.
How it will work:
- The team will be picked up at the meeting point in the morning and we will walk to the work area together.
- First, participants will receive a concise introduction to the fascinating habitat of the Binz and the relevance of the work.
- Participants can try out and experience the tools for themselves, always under professional guidance.
- After lunch at a local restaurant or outside in the field, participants gain in-depth insights into this unique habitat and its history.
- In the evening, the team can look back on their work, tired but proud.
Introduction:
An expert demonstrates and explains the work on site.
Support:
An expert and, depending on the size of the team, an experienced group leader will accompany the team and lend a hand.
Tasks:
- Rake up cuttings
- Remove scrub and maintain the forest edge
- The work is varied and diverse.
What you’ll need:
- No prior knowledge is required
- We will be carrying out physical work outdoors The work can be adapted to any fitness level.
Terms of use:
- Meals are the responsibility of the company, but we are happy to assist
- Willingness to do physical work outdoors
- Good shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
- Water bottle and cup
- Participants are responsible for their own insurance

Volunteering on a day in September 2026 is possible.
