DESCRIPTION:Beverin Nature Park and its project partners are committed to conserving the landscape of the region. This includes the historic trail in Pignia, which currently forms part of the “Walserweg” long-distance hiking trail . The Walserweg has a lot of historical significance, but was badly damaged by the construction of the national highway. \n\nExperience two rewarding days in the Beverin Nature Park and help to sustainably enhance the landscape along the historic Walserweg near Pignia. Together with other volunteers and experts from Beverin Nature Park, you will build traditional wooden fences from local larch, support nature-friendly land management, and make a valuable contribution to the environment and the region.\n\nYour voluntary commitment makes a difference – for the environment, local agriculture, and all hikers!\n\nDescription détaillée\nDuration:\n\n\n	2 days, Thursday 30 July and Friday 31 July 2026\n\n\nLocation:\n\n\n	Place of work: Pignia, Andeer municipality in Graubünden\n	Meeting point: Andeer, Posta (bus stop)\n\n\nHow it will work:\n\nDay 1, Thursday 30 July 2026:\n\n\n	9:00 a.m. Gather at meeting point, welcome\n	Transfer to the work site, introduction to the work\n	Start of fence building\n	Simple lunch outdoors\n	Continuation of fence building\n	4:30 p.m. Finish work and transfer to guesthouse\n	Overnight stay at Gasthaus Schwert, Andeer\n\n\nDay 2, Friday 31 July 2026\n\n\n	7:30 a.m. Breakfast\n	Transfer to the work site,\n	begin work\n	Simple lunch outdoors\n	Tidying up and finish\n	3:00 p.m., transport to Andeer\n	Apero in the nature park and journey home\n\n\nIntroduction:\n\nYou will receive a theoretical introduction to the tasks and fence building at the location.\n\nSupport:\n\nYou will be supported by project leader Flurin Stoffel throughout the assignment.\n\nTasks:\n\nConstruction of a traditional wooden fence:\n\n\n	Positioning stakes with an auger and by hand\n	Attaching battens\n	Creation of openings\n\n\nWhat you’ll need:\n\n\n	You are physically fit\n	Appropriate footwear and work clothing\n	You enjoy working outdoors.\n\n\nTerms of use:\n\nYou will pay a CHF 100 contribution.
