Visiting and assistance service
Zug
Year-round
Social issues
Without help from volunteers, we would not be able to maintain our service for the elderly and people who are sick or have disabilities in Zug canton.
As a volunteer, you will share a little of your time and abilities with someone. You’ll get to know new people, have interesting conversations and expand both your network and your social skills.
Duration:
Once a week or every 14 days for approx. 2 hours.
Location:
Zug canton and the surrounding area.
How it will work:
To be agreed.
Introduction:
Detailed introduction by the visiting and assistance service coordinator.
Support:
While volunteering you will be supported by the coordinator who has all the key information you need to carry out your task. You have the possibility to receive additional training.
Tasks:
As a volunteer, you will bring variety and a breath of fresh air into the everyday lives of people who have little social contact due to health or age-related impairments, or due to a shrinking circle of friends and acquaintances. You will help the client lead a more active life and expand their social network by chatting, taking walks or going shopping together.
What you'll need:
If you have some spare time, are considerate, empathetic and reliable, and are happy to lend an ear to others, we’d be glad to hear from you.
