Environment

Beverin Nature Park and its project partners are committed to conserving the landscape of the region. This includes the historic trail in Pignia, which currently forms part of the “Walserweg” long-distance hiking trail . The Walserweg has a lot of historical significance, but was badly damaged by the construction of the national highway.

Experience two meaningful days in Beverin Nature Park and help spruce up the landscape on the historic Walserweg in Pignia for years to come. Together with Beverin Nature Park and other volunteers, you will build traditional wooden fences from local larch wood, support nature-friendly cultivation and make a valuable contribution to nature and the region. Your commitment makes all the difference – for the environment, local agriculture and hikers!

Our project partner:
Naturpark Beverin

The area of the Beverin Nature Park stretches around the Piz Beverin, which is 2,998m above sea level. The park comprises four valleys as well as two culturally and linguistically distinct settlement areas. The park communities have joined forces to advance sustainable economic and social development. They work to preserve precious natural and cultural resources, strengthen the local economy and promote tourism close to nature.
